Responsibilities:
Our client in the shoes, apparel, and accessories industry is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to join their dynamic team in providing the “WOW” factor. This position will be critical in maintaining the health and needs of employees within the unique culture of the company. The successful candidate must be open minded, fun, easy going, creative, passionate, bold, daring, have a strong acumen for building relationships between employees and management of all levels. Primary responsibilities includes:
- Perform a variety of duties to promote employee welfare through relationship building, conflict resolution, team building, and partnerships.
- Providing HR assistance in line with our culture.
- Oversee the employee review process.
- Training and Development – ability to speak in a group setting, develop and facilitate HR training courses.
- Managing the LOA process for the employees they support.
- Problem solving and conflict resolution.
- Be an employee to management liaison.
- Partnering with management in the areas they support.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of seven years Human Resources experience and at least 2 years of Employee Relations experience.
- Previous experience in the following areas, to include, training and development, performance management, and LOA administration.
- Exposure to Employee Benefits and Payroll a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and with all levels of management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and take work direction from more than one person
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to search Internet for research purposes
- Must be extremely organized and able to multi-task
- Must have solid interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
- Good sense of Humor
Compensation:
$45,000 to $53,000 plus benefits
