An international manufacturing company is seeking an HR Manager to manage traditional HR functions, such as recruitment and retention of staff, employee relations, policy and procedure administration and continuous improvement of the HR process. The HR Manager will provide advice and recommendations on best practices for advancement of plant objectives, while adherence to laws and regulations.

Responsibilities: 

  • Understanding and ability to interpret and apply local, state and federal employment/safety laws including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, FLSA.
  • Serve as the company representative with any outside agency regarding all safety or HR related issues.
  • Safety/worker’s compensation management, including safety training.
  • Manage all aspects of staffing and recruitment, including plant management .
  • Administer new hire orientation.
  • Update or generate company policies and procedures as it relates to Human Resources and/or training.
  • Assist/coach managers and supervisors in the resolution of all HR issues.
  • Facilitate all necessary recruitment of qualified candidates and coordination of interviews with respective manager.
  • Maintain scheduled training for all employees, including training records.
  • Recommend, develop and schedule training and development courses.
  • Administers Time & Attendance program and provides disciplines to be issued by supervisors.
  • Manages Quality Systems relating to training.
  • Provides employee counseling and support.
  • Communicate and implement HR policy and practice to ensure fair and consistent administration throughout all levels of staff.

Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive issues
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • 5-7 years of Human Resources generalist experience, preferably in the manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience
  • 3+ years of Worker's Compensation, Benefits and Payroll administration experience 
  • Bachelor's Degree

Compensation:

$50-$65,000/ year
