Responsibilities:

      Our client, a global leader in the market of commercial and industrial use air                 conditioning systems, is looking for an exceptional HR Manager to join their team.       This is a well-established company with more than 40% of the market share in           Japan and a well-established presence in China, Southeast Asia, Europe, and             North America. The company is also one of the leaders in the fluorochemicals               industry, with an approximately 20% share of the world market. The company             employs roughly 19,000 people and has manufacturing operations in 11                     countries.

      Job Description: Administer, (with minimal supervision), policies & programs                 related to all phases of HR for our client's Orangeburg, NY offices, warehouse,             and Tech Service Labs.  Develop and maintain employee relations climate that             creates a stable and productive workforce.  Manage and coordinate all functions         of employee relations, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation           and benefit service, manpower planning, training and development.  Coordination       and communications with the HR function at the Decatur, AL facilities and the               Osaka,  Japan HQ are also an important part of this job.  This person has 1 direct       report and 1 indirect report.

Requirements:

      - Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent.  Advanced education or training a         plus.
      - Minimum 10 years experience in HR and minimum of 5 years experience in a               Human Resources Manager role.  
      - Strong communication skills in writing, speaking, and in training presentation.           - Good organizational skills.  
      - Familiarity with applicable state and federal regulations, ISO 9002                               requirements.      
      - Personal leadership skills.
      - Motivational skills and good human relations skills are required to develop                   internal consensus in all functional areas to accomplish the goals;
      - Strong administrative skills and hands-on style;
      - Ability to use PC's and corresponding software packages as tools for the job;
      - Enthusiasm, perseverance and curiosity are plus qualities;
      - Ability to work across Japanese-American cultural lines.  Japanese language skill         a plus.
      *There is no relocation package for this position. Local candidates strongly                   preferred.
